So what is this? Its actually pretty straight forward. Video game companies are allegedly putting their political ideas into our video games that we play on a daily basis. There is no crystal-clear answer as to why they would do this other than the obvious which is the company has a political agenda that it is trying to force down our throats, and since we spend a ton of time playing video games, even the boomers, we can get influenced by the ideologies present in these games. How does this impact things? It can actually have quite a large impact. According to Eurogamer, it can take away from the story line as stated below "When politics feel like they are "shoehorned" into a game, it's likely because a present political talking point is immediately recognisable - many people have encountered variations of Donald Trump's election campaign catchphrase "Make America Great Again" in games, but it leads to nothing but people going "I understand that reference" and moving on. Heavy-handed mirroring that offers no comment on the issues that move us feels jarring.". This shows us that there may be instances of political topics in video games, be they intentional or unintentional. Another reoccurring political thing in video games that is far less divisive is that of the presence of gambling in games targeted to kids, as also expounded on in the same article "...as much as careless handling of the potential for child gambling in FIFA is. Games and their relation politics are going to be part of an ongoing discussion. That's because politics, and thus the state of our lives are ever-changing.". This further shows that there are many political and social issues being expressed and expanded into the virtual world whether we like them or not. To sum it up...

So what is this aboutXbox vs. PlayStation: The Console Wars. Fanboys, industry analysts and game journalists alike love them. The steady chatter about who’s winning and losing rises to a roaring level when Sony and PlayStation are set to release a new console generation. This year is no exception, the clamor has already begun. Except this year is an exception and only one company is involved. The console wars are a series of events that correlate to one company releasing an innovative product and leaving the rivals behind. The rivals will then release a product that rivals or surpasses the original and the cycle repeats. But this time is ending for the video game industry. The days of Playstation vs xbox are beginning to seem like bygone days and here is why. It is simple yet shocking. So why are the console wars ending? The console wars are ending simply because consoles themselves are becoming obsolete and unstylish. Unfortunately for PlayStation fans, Sony's product does not match up to what Amazon and Google are making. But fortunately for fans of Microsoft's products, it is moving into this new age of gaming called cloud gaming. Cloud gaming is a field of gaming in which the games data is stored on a cloud or a virtual storage and enables multiplayer through it.That is where the real competition now lies. Gone are the days of LAN parties and come are the days of computer gaming, which uses the cloud. So what does this mean for Sony? It likely will mean very little in the here and now, but as more gamers switch away from consoles to the cloud, Sony will likely lose money on their PlayStation and will likely be forced to abandon it or lose even more money. To sum it up...
